Knives For The Search

114-03-06  Gulfonodi, Republic Fleet Logistic Support, A'dria Phell's Captains Quarters.

Standing at the railing, looking at her ships arrayed before her, A'dria contemplated what the last 2 years had meant to her; where she had been, how far she'd come.

She also thought about what the next two years held for her.

One thing is certain, she thought, I have to do more with myself.

She glared at the dull rusted look of the hangar, but then subsided in her frustration. It wasn't the Republic's fault she had stagnated, it wasn't Tiger's or the Clan's fault either. All the blame lay with her, and she knew it.

Turning away from the view of the hangar, she strode down the walkway back into the main living area. She went straight to her weapons locker and entered her access code. She grabbed two more power packs for her laser pistol, another charge for her backup low yield plasma pistol, and two extra knives.

She put the extra packs for her ranged weapons in their places on her holsters, and placed the knives next to their counterparts on her back sheath.

Loaded for bare, and ready for anything, she walked to the exit and opened the door with a command from her internal Neo-Com. Stepping into the hallway, she grabbed her two escorts and headed for the Interbus terminal.

She was going to see if she could find any of her's and Tiger's old associates in the Tribal Liberation Force. If she couldn't find anything there, she'd head over to Caldari space and see if she could find old friends and enemies alike.

Hunting For Darker Places

113-28-06 Gulfonodi, Republic Fleet Logistic Support, Phell Clan Security Hub 5, aboard The Raven's Shadow

The room was filled with holo screens and interfaces, which provided the only illumination, casting a blueish tint.

The screens showed constant streams of information, all coming from different parts of space, all related to the Clan and its interests. If anyone showed any kind of interest in the Clan, it would most likely end up on these screens. There was always stuff that didn't make it to the screens, that would be impossible, the Clan's security did not have the reach of some of the larger organizations out there, but it was comparable on some levels.

There were other ships and fixed locations that received all of the same data, that way if one was compromised, the Clan's eyes and ears wouldn't be crippled.

Standing at the center of the room, starring at the screens, Tiger contemplated what he needed to do about the people that were after his friends and family. He was alone for the moment, after he had ordered the technicians to take a early lunch.

The way he saw it, he had three options. One: he could just ignore them for now, and let them come to him. That option provided a lot of risk to his family and friends, who could get caught in the crossfire of whatever went down.

Two: he could go at them head on in the open, but that could make them all disappear if he didn't go at them hard enough, and then they would be lost to his eyes and ears, and that would make them more dangerous to his Clan.

Or, three: he could disappear, and come at them quietly, letting them think that he had gone into hiding, so they would become complacent and lower their guard.

This was the best way to do it, he thought.

As he was thinking, the door opened and Shana came walking in, in her usual black long coat and brown pants and shirt, with a data pad in her hands.

She walked up to Tiger's side without saying anything, handing him the pad and studying the screens, her eyes scanning for any information that she deemed was important.

He looked over the pad for a few moments, his eyes scanning back and forth across the screen.

Bringing his eyes back up to the screens, he handed the pad back to Shana, "So this is everything our guest could provide us about the organization that hired him to target us?"

She tucked the pad into one of her coat pockets before answering him, "Yes, as you saw, he is just a hired contractor, but he does know some of the lower level people that work in the organization."

"So that means that we go after them first, quietly though, I don't want the higher ups figuring things out." He turned his head slightly to gauge her reaction to his statement.

She looked at him in slight surprise, an eyebrow raised, "So you have decided to go after them then?"

Nodding his head, he looked back at the screens, "Yes, we have to, now that we know its the Amarrian organization that's been targeting us from the beginning."

He gritted his teeth at the thought of the people who had been causing his family grief for over the past two years. "If we didn't, it would leave a threat to the people we love out there, waiting like a venomous snake in the grass."

Shana nodded, turning and walking towards the door. "I'll prep a company of our spec ops guards, with them we should be able to get the job done." The door slid closed behind her, leaving Tiger alone again with the screens and his thoughts.
